Welcome
The Learning Out Loud™ Language series is a research based language curriculum designed for children 1-3 years old and their caregivers. Our fun and exciting classes help develop toddlers' early language skills through storytelling, singing, music, dramatic play and art. Learning Out Loud™ (LOL) is not simply "story time" for children, but is a carefully developed curriculum that includes specific learning objectives for each age group.
Early literacy theory emphasizes that children’s skills should unfold naturally through the enjoyment of books, positive interactions between young children and adults, and literacy-rich experiences. Learning Out Loud™ can help improve skills such as vocabulary knowledge, speech, and letter/sound recognition; all of which are essential to early literacy.
Learning Out Loud™ is the brain child of a team of learning specialists and speech/language pathologists. The program is currently being offered in the South Loop area by Dr. Chrisna Perry, a certified learning specialist and educational psychologist.
